Nobody's Minions

The boss is in prison. The island, regrettably, still needs breakfast.

Latch Island used to be the coastal lair of supervillain Dorian Kett. Now he is alive in a mainland prison, and his former henchcrew have the keys, a startling electricity bill and no reason to keep the skull-shaped soup bowls. Competent adults with inconvenient tastes occupy the abandoned base: they can make a home, open a workshop, take a questionable commission or spend an afternoon swimming. Stolen equipment has actual claimants. A rescue hero wants a working radio; a former client wants her smoke machines and perhaps a spectacular favour; neighbours need ordinary repairs. Other visitors see a tempting unattended prize. The crew's future can include public service, private business, capers and relationships without becoming one compulsory redemption project. An adult player may be former crew, newcomer or visitor, at any selected island location, with no assigned rank or past offence.
